Various bugs :)

I do find using this lens very difficult on the very small - I love the lens with an incredible strength but it's not an easy lens to manage - as it's very heavy and of course, focus is tricky. Anyway - here's a few shots from yesterday - it was like a bug safari!

Worth mentioning also that Neat Image has been playing havoc with saves lately it's been causing no end of problems with the backgrounds, so will possibly have to leave it until I can sort it out - if the backgrounds look funny, this is why - but do let me know if you can see it looking a bit odd - as I may have missed it when I was rectifying the problems in photoshop!

They are excellent Laura, think you have shot the moment of birth in number 4 if memory serves I think the greenfly gives birth to live young, damn will now have to look it up.

Wow! Thank you all! If anyone is re-reading this, do you mind elling me exactly what is *right* with number four? I just can't really see it myself, though I guess I must have seen some merit in it to bother keeping, editing and posting it!

Zounds, what is it with you. You have captured a very special and little seen moment and you have captured it well. The construction of the shot is just right and everything that matters is in sharp focus and there is nothing in the background to take the eye. The DOF is spot on and the exposure is correct.

What more do you want woman?
