My first time

For the first time in my life I took my camera out with the sole purpose of taking some photos, well did pop to Morrisons, but basically I wanted to take some shots of the local area. Below, one of the local churches, St Leonards Surfleet. Below a shot from the church yard gate

This is the church spire, and no I am not drunk nor is it an aberration of the lens. This is the leaning tower of Surfleet and I am told that at the top it is 6 foot 2 inches out of the upright.

In the image below you will see by the base of the tower how it has sunk into the ground and the edge of the tower can be compared to the perpendicular edge to the supporting wall.

It is common in this area for church spires to lean a good deal from the upright

You may also notice the sundial on the base of the spire which since the move is also at odds with the norm.
