Butterfly - odd angle

I was shooting this butterfly, who was remarkably calm and stayed very still for me, so I got in as close as I can, and composed the shots with odd crop and angles in mind. I was rather pleased with them, but appreciate that the sort of crop may not be to everyone's taste. Any comments welcome

I think I prefer the second.

Re: Butterfly - odd angle

I like both, but I agree there is something more exciting about the more off kilter angle of the second one

Re: Butterfly - odd angle

Nice photos The lens is surely something else but so it should be for the money

I tried to get a picture or a moth on the window with its wings spread out this evening but the little ****** flew off. Story of my life
