Scottish Highland scenery

Took a trip up North today as I wanted to shoot some landscapes with my new 50d. I knew the colours would be great this time of year also. I was up at 5am and left at 6, also took Rose and loki for some company and coffee

Very pleased with the performance of my 50d and 17-40mm lens today, incidentally, I had updated the 50d firmware this morning from 1.01 to 1.03.

These images are from Rannoch moor, and the Glen Etive area. I also visited the Falls of Falloch near Loch lomond and will post those images another time.

Amazing shots DJ. They are all wonderful in their own right, but I just love the first, the light is amazing, love the little tree silhouetted too. Great series of shots , again! Such rich colours too, Scotland is so beautiful.

Does Rose make good coffee?

Re: Scottish Highland scenery

Breathtaking shots DJ, they were well worth your visit even without the wild life. Could not pick a favourite, they are mood provoking images and the response to them would depend on that, my mood. But technically to me they could not be bettered but then I am an emotional viewer and not equipped to make technical comments.

Re: Scottish Highland scenery

All pretty spectacular shots. These really merit viewing at full size 1:1. I can't wait till you have snow up there.
