Sandra

So I had another shoot with Sandra today! Long time since I've done any portraits now.

The wind was terrible, so my assistant could barely hold on to the boom with the large octabox. And it was snowing like never before! Had to clean the lens like every single minute to be able to see through it. And like if that wasn't enough, both the B1600's I had brought with me failed on me! First one of them stopped working, and then the other one. Love the light quality of the lights, but the build quality / wether proofing isn't the best.

I got like 5 frames of her before the equipment failed on me, and this was the first. Pretty happy with the result considering all the things that went bad.

Re: Sandra

Hi Tommy

For me, this is by far, one of THE nicest images I've ever seen. Period!

I absolutely LOVE this shot.

It's beauty is in it's simplicity, and yet what you've had to go through to achieve it, was anything but simple. I love your lighting, I love her posture, I love the look on her face and I love the over all tone of the image itself.
And although you've probably achieved more technically in some of your other shots, I have to say that this is my absolute favourite shot from the collection you've shown us to date.

This is a truly outstanding image Tommy.

Re: Sandra

Thanks a lot everybody!

And thank you MD. Really appreciate it. I like this shot more and more the more I look at it. And I look at it a lot =P Actually thinking about getting a 1x1,6 meters canvas print of it. Think it would look good on the wall!

Re: Sandra

Lovely shot Tommy.

Ian (MD) touched on it - it's always good to hear a liitle about the problems faced to get the shot.

Lighting aside - I can appreciate the hassle the weather can bring.
