Re: David - Fs Lipslide

Thanks for clearing a few things up there Tommy. Much appreciated.
And I think it makes a real difference if people actually give a little background into the shots they take, unless of course they're very self explanatory.

So I was right to some extent. The technical side of this image is fine, it's the guy doing the trick itself that has disappointed you, which is why I found it hard to see why this image differed from any of the others you've posted before. Because to me, the shot looks fine, but to my "untrained eye" , I can't tell wether it's a perfectly executed trick or not.

It's very very rare for any photographer to have all of his or her images make the final print, so that one's a given Tommy
You say that we only see the shots on this forum that will not make the final cut, which would suggest that you have far more impressive images in the locker that we haven't seen, yet your own website is made up almost entirely of images that you have previously posted on this forum. I'm again curious as to why you would have so many "B-grade" shots advertising your skills to potential employers on your own website? Surely that would be the place to post those A-graders?

When were these posted? 'Coz as much as I like the shot in this thread, I personally think these are better, but then again I don't know how well these tricks are being executed

If you read my last post again, you'll notice I chose my words very carefully. I said it was pointless in us commenting on your image " at this time ", because at that point, we didn't know your reasons for not liking it as much as your other shots, and for people to come on and critique something that you have already said doesn't make the grade, would be pretty pointless, to both parties, as you would have gained nothing you didn't know already, and the folk commenting would have wasted their time.
And even now that we know your reason for not giving it an "A-grade", it's still impossible for anyone to critique it in a way that will benefit you, because it's technically as good as you wanted it to be, and as you've just said, in your opinion it's a lot better than anything you've posted before, and the only thing letting it down for you is the execution of the trick itself. So how can anyone possibly offer any advice on that?

Anyhoo...

I think I have some C & D grade stuff somewhere that I might post later..........although some would say that I already have

Cheeky!
