Backyard Duckies

One of the advantages of owning two camera bodies is the ability to mix lenses to take advantage of the strong points of one lens or another. I mounted my Nikkor 70-300mm FX F/4.0-5.6G lens to my D7000 and took a walk around the back yard. I wanted to take a close-up of Whitey, our Albino Mallard duck. I was here when Whitey was born and you should have seen her running around with her brothers & sisters. Now an adult Whitey feels quite at home as part of the flock, although she still rather stands out.

Our white Mallard almost looks like a big dove. She is very special.
