Revisited Abandoned Park Buildings

Here's a recent photo taken with my new Tokina 11-16mm F/2.8 DX lens. This is a very sharp lens that doesn't terribly distort even at its widest view. I've taken this shot before but like what this extreme wide angle does for the look.

What a tranquil looking scene Bob, almost looks like something out of a fantasy film.

Re: Revisited Abandoned Park Buildings

I remember the shots you posted before This is lovely and sharp! As said, the fence is a little bit annoying, but otherwise a lovely shot!

The buildings are actually abandoned state restrooms at Wahkeena Falls Park. The only way they could keep the public from using these restrooms was to fence them off.

Interesting that you should mention that Ken as there's a new TV series, Grimm, as in Grimm's Fairytales, that is being filmed right here in the Portland, Oregon area. This scene I shot would be typical for that series.

For most scenics sharpness is paramount. That's my first requirement of any lens, sharpness. I carefully read the reviews on this lens that outperforms the Nikon equivalent for hundreds of dollars less. I've only used it a few times since its purchase at Christmas but it certainly has lived up to its reputation. Thanks for your comments.
