Re: Woodland walk...

Iv not ridden for such a looooooooooong time. I lost my horse to a smashed hock when i was 15. I was devistated. I compeated alot in SJ with him. As an ex racehorse (hurdles) he jumped like a stag and excelled at BSJA.

Im hoping, once the photogrpahy picks up, to get back into it and hopefully buy a TB some time down the line

So what was the lads injury??

Re: Woodland walk...

he got a nail through his tendon in 2006 - spend 8 weeks in leahurst (liverpool hhorspital!)

nearly lost him 3 times - vets were going to put him down on his first op but gave hima chance -

a year on box rest....... me being battered several times by him etc,, then he went out march 2007 - now he's *just* been brought back into work...

hes a sensitive little guy... so needs a firm hand but gentle,, i cant trust anyone to look after him unless they ar really quiet - he ddosent trust anyone apart from me - ive tried people with him but hes bitten them

Re: Woodland walk...

Ouch poor baby is he in boots now. Elvis (the one i lost) had quite weak tendons so we had to bandage him up rather than boot him - worked wonders..

Liverpool are very good by all accounts. We have never gone over there as we have Reasheath's horse unit on hand - who are super.

He sounds just like my Elvis was. He was 11 and such a grumpy little sod. Used to eat everyone and was a sod to handle. You had to sit very quiet on him otherwise he was off!
