Random Cheshire

Today was a beautiful day in leafy Cheshire, so I thought I would get myself out and about for a couple of hours and have a play with my new camera.

I have recently treated myself to a Fuji X100 Black Edition and I thought I would head out in the car armed with just this camera and see what I could photograph.
I decided I would capture anything and everything that took my fancy with no particular plan as to which parts of Cheshire to head for.

For those who are just interested and for those people on this site who I know are very familiar with Cheshire; the photos were taken in and around Tarporley, Peckforton, Beeston and Cuddington.
In both Peckforton and Beeston there are two very obvious photography choices with both places having Castles, but I decided to give those a miss today in an attempt to be more creative.

I’m very pleased with the variety and randomness of the output and with how the Fuji X100 performed. Being a fixed lens camera it forced me to get up close and personal jumping in and out of the car at every potential spot and running across roads and up side streets . I could concentrate on only those photo opportunities that this camera could work with, a great experience to get back to basics and to remind oneself that we live in a beautiful and varied country.

I hope you like them…..

What a great series of varied shots Tony, I do like canals and the pace of life they seem to convey. I like the symmetry of number 13 too.
