Midsommer, meander to St Marys

Midsummers day, getting darker from tomorrow, and with today promising sunshine with a return to cold wet conditions tomorrow, i decided to take a walk at my primary patch.

June is not the most interesting month, but i tried to observe all that i could.

The lighthouse looked good from the point, plenty visitors on a sunny day.

The Flag Iris by the dipping pool were in full bloom.

A couple of Blue-tail damselfly's showed briefly.

At sea a pair of Mute Swan did a fly-by.

Overhead one of several Microlights buzzed the coast.

As the tide came in several Cormorant took advantage to dry their wings, or digest their food, both theory's have their supporters.

Do Woodpidgeons go to the seaside for their holidays. ?

Mossy, this set I really like, diverse subjects and great clarity and detail. Really enjoyed looking at your shots, my type of subjects.

Re: Midsommer, meander to St Marys

A nice varied set you've got there.

The first niggles me a bit in terms of the composition and the slightly off level horizon. That said I'm not sure what I'd have done differently without knowing what you had to work with.

I'm liking all the rest especially the Iris, Damelfly and Cormorants although the pigeon shot stands out because it's unusual to see them in this sort of scene.
