I did this (Amble) mainly in Photomatix with finishing touches in CS5.
Here is one cooked to Steve's recipe with a slight reduction in the quantities. Might convert this to an action.

Have now got the PS Action up and running with items 1 to 5, leaving levels adjustment and any sharpening to be done manually.
