Thank you for your very kind remarks, I know you have a similar lens so would understand how vital the light is.

I have set things up to get that shot, about 6 feet from the hedge is my bird feeder and another 9 or 10 feet from that I have my husbands fishing bivvy set up as a hide. Had to leave everything for about a week and it takes about 30 minuets after I go into the hide for them to return to the hedge. So with a bit of patience I have my shot of a sparrow.

Guess a lot of people would wonder why I bothered but I am very pleased to have proved the lens and my OH is happy because I am.

IT makes such a difference when all that hard work pays off doesn't it?! and with that shot of yours it has. Keep practising - the bigma is hard work alright, but worth it when you do get those elusive good results!
