Smoke on the Water

I had a play tonight...

Simple but effective technique.

Basically I took a number of pictures of a smoking joss stick against a black background on zoom (80mm) 125th/Sec on P mode. On-body flash set to on.

The joss stick was side-lit too from about 10 inches.

In Photoshop CS3 I then inverted all images, resaturated them as different colours and then pasted them on top of each other as layers.

Added a faded stroke and then increased the canvas size by a few Cms in black.

What do you think?

Re: Smoke on the Water

Works well Jack.

Reminds me of the seventies (early 70's) when I first started as a DJ and we used oil wheels in projectors as part of the light show. GROOVY
