Re: Banham Zoo

Well my favourite is the Meerkat family, as that made me giggle, it's a really good shot.
The Eagle is very impressive, amazing birds, th efirst head shot is wonderful.

Your vulture pics are wonderful, but I can't look at them too long as they give me the Heebie geebies They look at you , like they are waiting for you to drop dead, so they can start eating

Re: Banham Zoo

Thanks for good comments as always Moon!
The Meerkats are so funny, could watch them for ages, I took loads of the birds flying but that was the best, they are so hard to get as they move so fast in flight!

Re: Banham Zoo

Great shots Siman.

My favourite is (4) Bald Eagle - you've captured a great pose. There's so many fab bird of prey pictures but they're often sat doing nothing. The concentration on the birds face is fab (what was he looking at?) and that eye combined with the beak is awesome. If the resolution is up to it - I think that would be well worthy of a tight crop.

Love (2) Bald eagle & (5) vulture too.

Re: Banham Zoo

Your visit was well worth while as you came away with some very creditable and interesting shots. I love Meerkat pictures, we all love Meerkats I think because their actions are very human. But the bird pictures are excellent and a far more difficult subject to attain such pleasing results.

Re: Banham Zoo

I like the Meerkats and 2nd Bald Eagle pictures. I agree the Bald Eagle would benefit from a tighter crop. I also would like to have seen you lift the shadow from the top 1/4 of the Meerkat picture.

Do you snap in RAW format?

Re: Banham Zoo

Thanks every1, my 1st time shooting birds in flight, I took quite a few shots to get that 1 good 1 of the vulture in flight!
Jack, I sometimes shoot RAW, not always. Not sure how to lift the shadow, still learning Photoshop!
