Re: Shoot

It's an interesting shot, nicely exposed and sharp. I used to shoot, but don't any more.

The dog draws my eye, seeing the keen concentration he is displaying

Re: Shoot

Nice shot...emotive subject.

I have a duck and am happy just to shoot him with my camera..takes the same amount of aim and judgement to get a good shot and he gets to keep on living. lol

Very nice lighting and like grumps, I think the dog's expression makes it.

Nice capture.

I hope they eat what they kill and are not just doing it for 'fun'.

Thank you..
They rear everything and eat everything and only shoot what they need on the day. They are all nature mad and put a lot in to keeping the countryside wild and real...
I have only been out with them once and that was to take photographs, but it was a real eye opener...

Re: Shoot

Love the shot. Very atmospheric.

There is a lot of mis-information about modern day shooting. The days of thousands of birds being shot and buried at the end of the day are well past.

All the shoots I go on make sure that all the shot birds are accounted for and are divvied out to guns, pickers up and beaters for consumption.

Re: Shoot

Another shooter here - I was kind of brought up with it although I don't do it anymore.

Lovely shot - agree about the focus being on the Pointer - but I like that.

My only niggle is the Blue Flexi Lead holding the dog in the foreground - somehow it's not really in keeping with the earthy tones that give a 'country' feel to the shot.

Re: Shoot

Love the focus of the dog Lovely image, nice to see something different.

I was brought up shooting, it was normal where I grew up, but haven't in a long time, apart from clays. I have no problem with anyone shooting for their own consumption. I don't like trophy hunting, as I see it as a huge waste.
