Re: Vulture profile

It's a good head study with fine detail. f4 has given a lovely depth of field and the background contrasts nicely with the bird.

If I was really looking for minor points to crit it would be that some of the whites are slightly over exposed and from a compositional point of view it could have a bit more space on the left hand side.

Great shot though.

Re: Vulture profile

Completely agree with Phil - but I don't think that the blown whites detract too much from the image in this case - I think it's lovely. I might have gone for *slightly* more room so that the bird is 'looking into' something... but a minor niggle. All round, it's lovely!

Re: Vulture profile

Welcome to yop. A tad white in places but as I'm learning, sometimes the sun goes against us. Still an amazing shot with great detail.

Update

Re: Vulture profile

Many thanks for all your reply's and comments. I have taken on board the advice and I have slightly modified the picture.
Toned down some of the highlights and given a little more space on the left side.
I think that it is now a far better image.
Many thanks..

I will have to put up some more pictures up for feedback and see if I am repeating the same errors.
