Loch Tulla wild Deer

Took this pic today while taking some landscapes. I could almost touch him
Shot with my 17-40mm and 50d.

I am amazed you got so very close, and just look at that arrogant expression. I take it that as you were out to take landscape you were not in a hide so to, almost literally, stumble over a red deer like this is fortunate and for you to have a camera is our good luck. To get this sort of shot of a stag in full antler must be the aim of many wild life photographers, and you were looking at the scenery
