Re: Grass

I like this picture a lot...We have a grass here in a open part of the forest that might be the same kind...blooms late summer...was a pink misty like view of it from the trail..but...repeated burns have nearly wiped it out...only a sprig or so there now...I regret not taking more photos when I had the chance. Shirley

Burns are done by the forest service to keep the duff from helping wild fires get away...the forest reason but I see it differently..they are keeping the under growth down to make lumber harvest easier...to get more money for the tree crop.

Thanks Shirley, I'm not very good with all things green but these are a very common grass found all around the place here.

Re: Grass

Great capture Ken. I think grasses are very underated garden plants. They have a vast array of form and colour and can make grat architectural features.

Re: Grass

We used to call grass like this 'Yorkshire Fog'. Not sure if that's a real name for it though.

Nice shot though Ken. I like the depth of focus and the pink against the green.

Thanks Richard,
At the moment I'm battling with big patches of moss in my back garden so would love to see a bit more of the stuff (grass)

Thanks Phil, It was the colour that captured my attention, it was an impulse shot
