A break in the rain

After dinner on Monday I looked out of the dinning room window... SUNSHINE, so back to the office and get the camera to grab a few quick shots around the grounds.

I don't know how these survived the gale force winds that bought trees down over the weekend:

Looking through a small gap in the trees:

Sun popped in, so a chance for slower shutter speed:

Another:

Someone else making the most of the warm sun:

Re: A break in the rain

I run from bright sunshine Ken. My style of photography is at its best when it's overcast. Got lots of that around the Pacific Northwest. You've done a nice job of capturing the moment.

Re: A break in the rain

You must work in beautiful surroundings, then. If I were there, they wouldn't get any work out of me, I'd be too busy with my camera.

Lovely shots of a beautiful place.

Thanks Bob, I have to admit, hard midday sun is not the nicest light to work with.

Thanks Jeff, It's a magnificent place to go to work, very large and lots to see and photograph, but I'm generally to busy to be able to enjoy it . I do always take my camera in with me just incase I get a chance to walk the grounds or buildings.

Hey Mark, so so close to the truth, the red was so close to clipping

Thanks Laura, It's the sort of place I would have loved to explore as a child.
