Ok:

Lens One - Canon 17-40 L f4
Lens Two - Canon 10-22 f3.5-f4.5

As the first one is a L lens it should have superior optics, however the 10-22 is reported to have very good optics (depending who you believe, it is said to be comparable to some of the lower end L's) and EF-S lenses are never given the L suffix

I want a WA/UWA to complement my current set up. The 10-22 covers a range I do not yet have, where as the 17-40 overlaps some of the range of my 28-135. If the optics were far superior then I was going to use the 17-40 as a walkabout lens, but I have always been sorely tempted by the UWA.
