Random door in Northwich

I like this shot, I dont know why. How can I edit it better, and any tips for next time? All comments and criticisms welcome.

Hi Polo,

For me the fact that the shot has a crooked aspect and is wonky needs a little fix, and yes a little sharpen too

It is not perfect because all three axis are distorted, but I think just having the door vertical makes the difference.

Think this may be one of those shots that work with part being in colour, don't know but would like to see if you have a colour original.

As it is now I feel it lacks impact and although I would expect I would be drawn to the doors I am, in fact, drawn to the dark patch on the wall on the right.

EDIT: posted at the same time as WW and his edit seems to have brought the area of impact onto the door, well done him I would not have thought that the fact it was not square could make that amount of difference.

I know what you mean, I imagined this shot to have nice red bricks with a brightly painted door, guess we will never know

that is a great picture polo !

is it red bricks ? would love to see them in colour too and give them a gritty feel to it ....but i love this black and white shot too !
