More birds

I had another go today, taking into account the better light and your advice.

I went to Brandon Marshes, which has been majorly underwater recently, and the groynes are still A) narrow and B) slippery, but have incredible vistas

This was okay until after about 10 minutes of walking upon narrow slipperiness when a chap coming the other way said *OH! LOOK! A Goldgrest!* and pointed to my left. I turned...and slipped, and descended the slope into the water, on my backside. And not gracefully...

But I got the Goldgrest. Sorta...

...I defy you to do better when up to your knees in ice-water...

After that it got better. I found a heron. It wasn't tricky, the flippin' thing was asleep...

That shot was with Bazza's lens

But I missed the chance of the kingfisher today, apparently it had been and gone. And I needed to get home and dry out. But I did get a couple of Dunnock

And two cheeky robins, of course

Thanks for looking

Re: More birds

the first Robin shot stole my heart, they are such an adorable little bird. Good for you for getting out in the bracing weather and taking some shots.

the two scenic shots are beautiful, almost HDR in effect

cheers Marion

Re: More birds

Nice spot on the Goldcrest Gaz. Not the easiest of birds to capture.

Even more so when your undercarriage is in ice-cold water and you're struggling to keep the camera above water Thanks. Next time I will get a shot when it is A) closer), B) in focus and C) not laughing it's beaky head off at the soaking jerk in the water

Re: More birds

Very interesting work I think these are much better than the last lot! nice feather detail on the dunnock and robin for instance. And also on the heron, though he's not facing you.

Keep up the good work!
