Christmas market

A couple of shots from the local International Market last week. Gosh, was it really only a week ago?

Re: Christmas market

Lovely night time and indoor shots. What set up did you use?

Re: Christmas market

Sturdy tripod, thermals, manual setting with remote trigger, F11 and 20 second exposures for some of the darker shots, and experimented with 4-15 seconds with the
rest. I shot in RAW (obviously) them post-processed to get the look and feel.

One thing surprised me, and it is something I want to explore later this year. Um...next year...even at 5 and 10 second exposures, there were a lot of people standing almost motionless. I've just bought a variable ND filter which should allow me to set up the camera on a solid tripod and expose for 10-20 seconds with a good depth of field in daylight...I want to see what effect that has...who is moving, who is motionless. I think it could be fun and yield some interesting results
