Casper with a rabbit in the tumble dryer (dead animal)

Funny rumbling noise in the laundy. Eventually tracked it down to Casper growling. Ever the comedien he'd decided the tumble dryer was a nice place to hide away with his prize catch. He was very proud even if Paddy almost looked amused at what a tiny effort it was.

Anyway - I chucked it into the woods and he was out like a rocket to reclaim his pride and joy.

Cats tend to be real characters don't they Phil. I remember our two carting in a baby rabbit alive. That was a fun evening, seperating the cats from the rabbit and then trying to safely extract the rabbit.

Bless him! I think!

Dudley caught and killed a rabbit once, I was very upset and threw it away... on reflection, I wish we'd kept and eaten it, it would have been shot free at least!

They certainly are Characters Richard. Three of my big old tough 'killer' cats have been put to sleep recently. Whilst it's sad that they've gone I have to chuckle sometimes as casper is just finding his way in the world so he has to start small. Paddy is my last remaining 'old' cat so he just kind of laughs at Casper and his hunting results.

Bramble (also gone) used to do that. Never hungry but always up for a game of chase. Sadly always inside . I had to go and grab Murphy and set him on the trail and he'd always bring home the bacon.

Joking aside Zoundz - Murphy caught rabbits all the time. Big ones too. I'd often come down in the morning and find the cat flap wedged by a big fat one. Inspection showed no mixi and other than a bite to the neck, no damage. They would have been fine but I'd just rid or use for dog dinner but the daft thing is I'd happily shoot a rabbit for the pot.

Phil ,

What a clever cat , preheating before eating . Out cat used to to do the same , even carried a snake in once .. very scary not knowing initially what it was .
