My park

A huge old Live Oak..I saw a hawk land in it but couldn't see...thought maybe I could in a photo but can't see it.

A small slough off the edge of the lake with some Ibis in there.

Guess I got the posting problem as here I am two in a row!

Taken in the park...partly wild area and some mowed picnic and playground area. Some hiking trails too...I can't do that anymore..I need a walker on smooth even surfaces these days...but once apon a time I did walk a lot! Arthritis has me now...Shirley

Re: My park

The Hawk is definitely well hidden there Shirley, Ibis showing but they could of done with coming closer to have their pic taken... Very inconsiderate of them. I am guessing these are American White Ibises?? Better looking than some of their cousins these white ones

Hopefully you do not have to go out very far to walk when nature is mostly around you

Re: My park

Fab looking tree <3

Would love to see American White Ibis... especially since a day ago someone thought they'd seen 30+ in Galway area! :| Needless to say, it turned out that they were misidentified Little Egrets

Re: My park

Ibis seem a tamer bird then most...we do have Black Ibis also and the second photo here is a in betweener...not sure what to call it but I think it is a cross of the black and white but it is so much bigger then either the whites or blacks that it confuses me.
I tried to make a new thread on the Ibis but can't post with you today...thought I had it fixed but not today...Shirley
