Re: Bluebells and Whitebells

Little known fact comming up

There are 2 different types of bluebells English and Continental, true. How to spot the difference, English bluebell flowers develop both sides of the stem whereas the continental version the flowers only grow on one side.
The English version is the rarer of the 2 varieties.

Re: Bluebells and Whitebells

Thanks everyone

So I have rarer bluebells, that is fab, they grow in the wild part of the garden, it is left untouched really, except for a strim at the ensd of the summer, so we get lots of animals and birds . Thanks for the info Bazza

Suzi

Its a pleasure to pass on loads of really useless information, I tend to be able to specialise in that department, it keeps me insane.

No, I am glad you told me, because I was going to pick some to bring inside, but I am going to leave them alone now

Do you know why you ocassionally get a few white ones, or pinky mauve? Are they the same variety but paler?
