A Landscape ruined

Why can't they paint these obscenities with camouflage paint like they do with military vehicles, if the eysores were painted, they'd blend in with the lovely countryside.
There's no need for them to be white, I think they're a disgrace.

Re: A Landscape ruined

I agree with Mel, they can be beautiful too And their beauty is not just on the outside either - they are helping the very thing you are saying they are spoiling, our earth. We have them around Wales too, and I don't have a problem with them at all

Re: A Landscape ruined

At least to a degree they are helping the environment, but agree they could be camouflaged better, remember seeing a photo of a telephone pole disguised as a tree.

Exactly Phil, I know the ones you're on about. Now there's a perfect example of good planning.
If the windmills were just painted a darker colour they would'nt be so noticeable, I've seen a few pics on here that were ruined, the one that comes to mind is the lake shot at Blair Drummond Safari park.

Re: A Landscape ruined

How about some pics of those masts made to look like trees, just so we can see exactly what you mean but I have to agree anyway, if they were camouflaged it would make a big difference

Re: A Landscape ruined

I have seen those mobile phone masts on the A9 and they are very well done I too think the wind turbines are a blot on landscapes Why can't they put them out at sea? Oh well I suppose you could erase them with one of these Photo shop thingys heh...
