Lovely! A niece of a friend of mine has chickens, I think they are called "Peck, Scratch and Cluck!"

I have always been fond of poultry in the yard but never had many...even properly fenced in, preditors got too many. Hated to lose them that way. Most of my losses were to raccoons that even got a full grown tom turkey and two full grown geese. I would have been a collecter of fancy chickens if not for the raccoons, fox and neighborhood dogs. Thanks Shirley, Luckily i have only loss a couple of my hens in the last ten years, it is upsetting, they are safe as long as they go to bed at night and i can lock them up, but sometimes one will decided to go on walk about and it's in possible to fine them, and that's when they have got taken by a fox, weasel or even a dog, we also have chicks taken by magpies
