You should get a moth trap if you want to get good shots of these little guys, and see a more varied range 
We ran one every night when I was staying in Dorset with the wildlife group. We got Elephant Hawk (my faves), Poplar Hawk, White Ermine and many others....moths are very under-rated in the beauty stakes!
The beauty of the moth trap is they're all dozy when you release them in the morning and you can put them on aesthetic bits of twig, leaf etc...

I think my parent's porch is a moth trap! 
we get White Ermine, Buff Ermine, Magpie, Garden Tiger, Buff Tip, Elephant hawkmoths (one of my favourites too - topped by deaths head and oleander), and I think Netted Pug. I'd love to set up a decent moth trap though!
I did try to put the buff tip somewhere more aesthetically pleasing the next morning, but he got very cross and scuttled off into a tree!

I find the background of no. 4 interesting, can you tell us what it is? It looks like an illuminated scrubbing brush
