Re: Various bugs :)

sorry... I just felt that to me it looked blurry, like it was double focusing or something... (not sure on the technical term for that)... it all felt too bright, too green and vaguely unrealistic... didn't mean to upset anyone by going on about it Will just accept that it's good.

Re: Various bugs :)

Not upsetting me Z but you take a fantastic shot and you deserve to be pleased with it. Yes, it is a bit green but all your shots are a bit too green and that is easy to deal with.

I am no expert but I think you focused on the female greenfly and the DOF was just enough to take in the rest of the troupe, just drifting out at the very front of what I believe to be a winged greenfly but could well be wrong. And that is perfect from the point of view of interesting the viewer in the main subject of the image the marching greenfly.

Re: Various bugs :)

Thanks Jackie - I did focus on the female greenfly - in an attempt to get everything in focus - and I think it's the stripes on the grass that make everything look slightly blurry to me... also, I wasn't too happy with the winged thing being slightly OOF at the bottom there, but I can see how it does work

Re: Various bugs :)

Some excellent shots here Zoundz! I really like the first one

The fourth is a really good shot, I think I personally would prefer it with the OOF fly at the bottom cropped out of the shot though.
