Re: Clacton air show

Yes the second picture is a hawker hunter called Miss Demeanour, very distinct paint job and the first one is PBY5A Catalina, I've got lots off shots of both from Duxford air shows.

You did well with both shots, try a lower shutter speed with prop aircraft, around 250-320/sec should do it.

Well done

Re: Clacton air show

Not bad for your 1st attempts at photographing moving aircraft Kay. Not the easiest things to capture, especially now with the distance they have to be away from the crowd, i think a safety issue that was brought in after the Ostend airshow crash back in `97.
Image 5 is a Boeing Stearman by the way if you wanted to title your images

Thank you KenTT it was really enjoyable trying to photo something different and i will try and remember the lower shutter speed with prop aircraft, they are on about this being the last air show, so i may not get another chance next year

Thanks Mark, and for the info it probably didn't help that i was quite a distance from the pier where it all really happens, but never mind, if we do get another show next year i'll have another attempt
