The Little Priest

I walked down the village with this priest and parted as he went into the coffee shop. He was most obliging - even with my pigeon Greek!

Re: The Little Priest

Love it! Love it!

I really find the whole image fab, he looks like he has stepped straight out of a history book The setting and the tones you have used are great too.

I like your portraits, you seem to attract some interesting characters

Re: The Little Priest

That is brilliant, as others have said it looks as though we are stepping back in time looking at this photo.

Re: The Little Priest

This photo looks ancient Jack. Really well composed. Have you given a thought to adding sepia toning? The wooden shutters and brick wall add such great texture and interest to the whole effect. Well done.

Re: The Little Priest

Thanks gang, very much!

Bob - there is a subtle sepia tone to it - I did a richer one but decided, when comparing both, that less was more.

Re: The Little Priest

I agree Jack. I tried different values of sepia on the photo and found the original the best.

Re: The Little Priest

Everything about this appeals to me, the old buildings and the character of the priest, one expects the peasants to come by with a hand cart any moment.
