Had a scout about on the net DJ. Looks like a 2x Kenko 'Nikon fit' would cost about £50 - I'd just need to try and make sure I can find one which will retain the AF.

Do you have a faster lens than the one in your sig Phil? Cause with a 2x converter your gonna lose 2 f stops and have a lens that isn't really quick enough to shoot moving targets unless the light is very good.

Hi Phil, that's a very good price for a 2x tele. I think you might have to tape some pins on the tele to retain autofocus and it may not be reliable (autofocus) as it would be without it, ie slow and hunts in difficult light.

That's really what I was getting at post 10. It's more something I'd be considering once I've upgraded my kit.
