This has been nagging me for a while and the penny has just dropped.
Ann my pal (girl that died that had the rats) was into her music big time - Frank Zappa & Captain Beefheart to name a few. I remember her commenting on the name when I showed her your pics ages ago but I never put two and two together till now.

Russian Silver Agouti - one of the varieties we've been working on since we started breeding. We breed Russian Silver and Silver Agouti - and very recently have decided to also work towards Russian Dove and Russian Dove Agouti. We've always sort of had them crop up in litters - but have now decided to actually breed for them.
This is a Russian Silver - the rat above is an agouti version! This rat is his sister Ice Rose:
