Whilst out today with Jago I had the 100mm Macro on the 5D MkII. Not the best thing to try and do macro photography whilst walking a Clumber. "What's that you are looking at" as you try to photograph a flower which he promptly stands on
. "That looks edible" as he licks the fungi I am trying to capture
.
At least I got one that I quite liked.

Now that is right up my street Steve, love it. For me lovely gentle colour, good composition and the dof is perfect.

That's a great shot Steve.
The colours work really well together and the dof you've gone for has made it all the more interesting.

I'd get rid of that blue border tho, the subtle grey one alone would work much better.

I never really take people's borders into account when I'm commenting on a photograph. Borders can be added or removed and it's the shot that counts. I see the border as part of the presentation rather than part of the image itself
To me it's like being shown a view from a window and then looking at the curtains.
PS
Mounts and frames are obviously very important when producing something 'real' to sell or hang on your wall. I was talking about images on forums.

Nice work Steve, nice colours and a nice image. Can imagine it as a set hanging somewhere or some sort of graphic. Little undecided about the frame, colours compliment each other but maybe if it was within a frame would work a little better.
