A Cloudy day in Fairbourne

It was a cloudy day in Fairbourne as I strolled along the beach.



a few days beforehand



the storm left all of this behind

Yep the first one for me too, the foreground really hooks you to look further into the picture, it's a great shot! Really love the light in the third one

on a more serious note - I like to put things to add interest into scenery photos when Im composing them, so long as it doesnt detract the viewer from what youre trying to convey. As you have already stated, they can be successfully used to pull the viewers eye into the picture. This is particularly true of outdoor shots where the brain is hard-wired to look for a foreground, midground and distance.
